What documents should I have ready before I apply?

Before you start the application process, you should have the following documents ready:

  • Business bank statements: Your three most recent business bank statements (four if you’re in CA or NY) to demonstrate financial stability

  • Driver's license: A valid government-issued ID for all owners or authorized signatorie

  • Voided check: To verify your business's bank account information

  • Collateral information: If you're applying for a secured loan, have details about any collateral you're offering

In addition to these documents, if you’re applying for an SBA/term loan, you’ll need to provide the following:

  • Tax returns: Both business and personal tax returns for the previous year(s).

  • Profit & loss statement (P&L): This document provides an overview of your business's revenues, costs, and expenses during a specific period

  • Balance sheet: A snapshot of your business's financial condition at a specific point in time

  • Business plan: This is relevant for startups or new businesses
