What's the difference between a passkey and two-factor authentication (MFA)?

Two-factor authentication adds a second step (like a time-based 6-digit code via text message or an authenticator app) after entering your password. A passkey replaces the password entirely. Your device handles identification and verification in one step. Passkeys are generally considered more secure than password + MFA codes.
